Definition
Atrasar ou adiar algo, normalmente porque não quer fazê-lo agora. Também pode significar criar aversão em alguém.

Expressão informal, utilizada diariamente. Usualmente seguida de substantivo ou verbo no gerúndio ('put off estudar'). Não equivale a cancelar. Pode ainda sugerir causar repulsa ('Her tone put me off').
