Definition

কাউকে বা কিছু সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত তথ্য সংগ্রহ বা তাদের বৈশিষ্ট্য বোঝানোর কাজ বোঝায়। মিডিয়া বা তদন্তের ক্ষেত্রে কারো সম্পর্কে বিশদ বিবরণ দেয়ার অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

মিডিয়াতে 'profiled in a magazine' অর্থপূর্ণ। পুলিশি তদন্তে বা জাতিগত বিষয়ে নেতিবাচক অর্থ থাকতে পারে ('racially profiled')। সাধারণত 'was profiled' এরূপভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
