어떤 사건이나 행사를 직접 참여하지 않고 구경만 하는 사람들.

‘구경꾼’은 보통 단순히 지나가다 보는 사람을 의미, 참여하지 않음. 스포츠에서는 ‘관중’, 사건 현장에서는 ‘목격자’나 ‘행인’도 씀.

The onlookers watched as the firefighters put out the fire.
