誰かや何かがまだ到着していないが、今向かっていること、または何かがもうすぐ起きることを表す表現です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
カジュアルな表現で、日常会話でよく使います。「on my way」は自分自身に限定されますが、「on the way」は何かや誰かが向かっている時にも使います。
