Karışık, zorlu veya hazırlıksız bir durumda mükemmel olmasa da işleri bir şekilde yürütmek, geçinmek.

Genellikle zor, belirsiz veya hazırlıksız olunan durumlarda kullanılır. Mükemmel bir sonuç beklenmez; 'just muddle through' veya 'try to muddle through' gibi kullanımları yaygındır.
