갑자기 어딘가로 빠르게 달려가는 것, 주로 도망치거나 안전한 곳으로 가기 위해 사용한다.

일상적인 달리기가 아니라 긴급하거나 갑자기 도망치는 상황에서 사용한다. 'make a break for the door'처럼 목적지를 함께 쓴다.
