相手に対して、特に言いにくいことや重要なことを正直に話すこと。

この表現はカジュアルな場でよく使われ、『Can you level with me?』のようなお願いの時や、真実を打ち明ける時に使う。'level with you about something' のように後に話題が続くことが多い。
