誰かをうまく避けたり惑わせたりして、追いかけるのを無駄にさせること。

この表現は少しユーモラスな雰囲気で、誰かがわざと相手を翻弄したり、捕まえにくくしたりする際に使います。フォーマルな場面ではあまり使いません。
