高い場所や物から下に飛び降りること。比喩的に、何かを急に始める意味でも使われる。

カジュアルな表現。「jump off the～」の形で場所を続けて使われる事が多い。'jump out'や'jump down'とは区別する。比喩的用法にも注意。
