Definition
Quando uma superfície, especialmente água ou chão, fica coberta por uma camada de gelo devido ao frio.

Usado principalmente para situações de natureza ou clima; aparece com 'the lake', 'the road', 'the pond'. É intransitivo: 'The lake ices over.' Não se usa para cubos de gelo.
