石のように壊れにくく、とても硬いものを表します。物質にも頑固な性格にも使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に物が非常に硬い、または頑固・冷たい性格を表す時に使われます。「石のように」という比喩に用いられます。困難には使いません（difficult/toughを使用）。
