Acusar oficialmente alguém de um crime ao iniciar um processo legal, normalmente junto da polícia ou em tribunal.

Usa-se em contexto formal e jurídico. Normalmente aparece como 'file charges against someone' ('apresentar queixa contra alguém'). Não se aplica a reclamações informais.
