Definition

의견 차이나 경쟁을 실제 싸움이나 승부가 날 때까지 경쟁하여 결정하는 것. 비유적으로도 쓰임.

비공식적 표현으로, 이야기나 스포츠, 논쟁 등에서 자주 쓰임. 실제 싸움뿐 아니라 경쟁/논쟁에도 사용. 사소한 다툼에는 쓰지 않음.

The two boys decided to fight it out on the playground.

두 소년은 운동장에서 **맞붙기로** 했다.
