İnsanları veya hayvanları bir araya toplamak ya da kapalı bir alana almak; genellikle engel veya güç kullanılarak yapılır. Birinin hareket özgürlüğünü sınırlamak anlamına da gelir.

Genellikle hayvanlar için kullanılır ama insanları istemeden toplamak veya sınırlamak için de geçerlidir. 'Polis protestocuları bir araya topladı' gibi haber dilinde görülür.
