Definition

누군가나 무언가를 특정 역할이나 기회에 적합한 후보로 생각하다.

'consider for a position'과 같이 학업, 직장, 선출 상황에서 많이 쓴다. 일상적인 선택에는 사용하지 않는다.

They will consider her for the job.

그들은 그녀를 그 일자리 **로 고려할** 것이다.

John was considered for the award.

존은 상을 **받기 위해 고려되었다**.

The team will consider three people for captain.
