規則や法律、指示や要望などに従って行動すること。

フォーマルや法的な場面でよく使います。「規則」「法律」「基準」などとペアに。人には使いません（人には「従う」または「服従する」など）。「agree with」とは意味が異なります。

All employees must comply with the company's safety rules.

全従業員は会社の安全規則に**従わなければなりません**。
