Definition

誰かがしたことや持っているもの、成し遂げたことについて良いことを言うこと。褒める内容は「〜について」の形で続きます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ほめる内容は「〜について」や「〜のことで」を使うのが自然です。失礼にならずほとんどの場面で使えます。'complement'（補う）とは異なるので注意しましょう。『for』ではなく、『について』を使います。
