Definition
对某人做的某件事、拥有的东西或取得的成就表示赞美。“on”后的内容就是被称赞的对象。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))
常用于表达对某人的具体事物的赞美，如“compliment someone on their work/clothes/idea”。属于礼貌、中性的表达。不要和“complement”（互补）混淆。不要用 'for'，正确用法是 'compliment on'。
