Definition

किसी होटल या हवाई अड्डे पर पहुँचने और पंजीकरण करने के लिए उपयोग होता है। यह भी दर्शाता है कि आप कहीं पहुँच चुके हैं या उपस्थित हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर यात्रा, होटल और हवाई अड्डों में प्रयोग होता है ('reception पर check in', 'flight के लिए check in')। मोबाइल ऐप्स/सोशल मीडिया में भी ('Facebook पर check in करें')। कभी-कभी अनौपचारिक रूप से किसी से हालचाल पूछने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है ('I'll check in with you later')। 'check on' (देखभाल करना) से न मिलाएँ।
