ある期間や状況から次の期間や状況へ金額や未完了の作業などを移すこと。主にビジネスや会計で使われます。

ビジネスや会計でよく使われ、『carry forward a balance』は「残高を繰り越す」となる。普段の会話ではあまり使われません。

We need to carry forward last year's profits into this year.

昨年の利益を今年に**繰り越す**必要があります。

Any unused vacation will carry forward to next year.

未使用の休暇は翌年に**繰り越されます**。
