誰かに電話をかけること、または特定の目的や助けを求めて誰かを呼ぶこと。

「call in sick」は職場に電話して休むこと。「call in a doctor」は医者を呼ぶ意味です。「call out」（批判する、大声で呼ぶ）とは混同しないでください。
