Extremamente quente, como algo à temperatura da água a ferver. Usado para o tempo, bebidas ou objetos muito quentes.

Expressão informal, normalmente exagera o calor, especialmente em relação ao clima ou bebidas ('boiling hot day', 'boiling hot tea'). Não é usada para calor moderado. O oposto é 'freezing cold'.
