주로 영국에서 사용하는 비격식 표현으로, 남자를 익살스럽거나 약간 짜증스럽게 부를 때 쓴다. 장난꾸러기, 불쌍한 사람, 대상 자체를 가리킬 때도 사용한다.

영국에서 주로 쓰이고 요즘은 다소 구식이다. 친근함과 짜증이 섞인 뉘앙스가 있다. 'poor blighter', 'little blighter' 처럼 많이 쓰인다.

That blighter took my last cookie.

저 **녀석**이 내 마지막 쿠키를 가져갔어.
