Definition
アメリカンフットボールで、バックフィールドはライン・オブ・スクリメージの後ろに位置するエリアや、そこに並ぶ選手たちを指します。通常、ランニングバックやクォーターバックが含まれます。

主にアメリカンフットボールで使う言葉です。「in the backfield」「backfield player」などがよく使われます。他のスポーツではあまり使われません。
