Definition

相手に何かをしてあげる前や提案をする前に使う、とても丁寧でフォーマルな申し出表現です。

とても丁寧でフォーマルな場面（レストラン、ビジネスなど）で使います。「allow me to...」は親しい友人同士ではあまり使いません。

Allow me to carry your bags.

**お任せください**、お荷物をお持ちします。

Allow me to introduce myself.

**私にさせてください**、自己紹介いたします。

Allow me to help you with that problem.

**私にさせてください**、その問題をお手伝いします。

Oh, allow me—let me get the door for you.
