Definition

التخلي عن منصب أو مسؤولية، خصوصًا عندما يترك الملك أو الملكة العرش. يُستخدم أيضًا للتخلي عن واجب أو دور مهم.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

كلمة رسمية؛ تُستخدم غالبًا للملوك أو القادة ('abdicating the throne')، وأيضًا مجازًا عند ذكر المسؤوليات ('abdicating responsibility'). لا تستخدم لترك عمل عادي؛ تعني التخلي عن شيء مهم.

The king is abdicating after fifty years.

الملك **يتخلى** عن العرش بعد خمسين عامًا.

She is abdicating her responsibilities as manager.

هي **تتخلى** عن مسؤولياتها كمديرة.
