Definition

ইয়ার্ড হলো বাড়ি বা ভবনের চারপাশের খোলা জায়গা। এটি তিন ফুট দীর্ঘ একটি মাপের এককও হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

আমেরিকান ইংরেজিতে 'yard' বাড়ির বাইরে খোলা অংশ বোঝাতে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'front yard', 'back yard' এবং 'yard sale'-এর মতো শব্দবন্ধ প্রচলিত। দৈর্ঘ্য পরিমাপের ক্ষেত্রে 'গজ' ব্যবহার হয়।
