'wolves' là dạng số nhiều bất quy tắc của 'wolf'. Hay gặp trong các cụm như 'a pack of wolves', 'wolves howl', 'gray wolves'. Cũng dùng ẩn dụ cho người nguy hiểm ('throw someone to the wolves').
