물건을 파는 활동이나 과정, 보통 기계나 자동으로 이뤄집니다. 주로 'vending machine'과 같은 표현에서 사용됩니다.

주로 'vending machine'에서 쓰이며 단독으로는 거의 쓰이지 않습니다. 공식적·기술적 표현이니 평상시 대화에서 '판매하다'로 쓰면 어색합니다.

Vending machines sell snacks and drinks in many schools.
