同じ母親から同時に生まれた二人の子供のこと。また、非常によく似ている二つのものにも使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は兄弟姉妹が同時に生まれた場合に複数形「双子」を使います。「双子の兄弟」「双子のベッド」などの表現もあります。「一卵性双生児」「二卵性双生児」などがよく使われます。
