बहुत नकारात्मक और भावनात्मक शब्द; राजनीति, संघर्ष या विश्वासघात की स्थिति में इसका प्रयोग होता है। किसी को 'traitor' कहना गंभीर आरोप है। 'enemy' के बजाय 'traitor' अपने लोगों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।
