Domates, yuvarlak ve kırmızı ya da sarı renkte, içi sulu olan bir meyvedir ve genellikle yemeklerde ve salatalarda sebze olarak kullanılır.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
‘Domates’ kelimesi çoğul olarak kullanılır. ‘Taze domates’, ‘cherry domates’ ve ‘olgun domates’ gibi ifadeler yaygındır. Genellikle sosa veya ürünlere değil, bütün meyveye denir; ‘patates’ ile karıştırılmamalı.
