ایک ہزار کی تعداد؛ دس سو کے برابر۔ بڑی مقدار یا خاص تعداد بیان کرنے کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔

Usage Notes (Urdu)

'Run a business' کی طرح 'ہزار' کو گنتی یا بڑے اندازے کے لیے استعمال کرتے ہیں جیسے 'a thousand people' یا 'thousands of stars'۔ 'One thousand' میں یہ واحد رہتا ہے، جب کہ 'thousands of' میں جمع۔ 'A thousands' نہیں کہیں گے، صرف 'a thousand'۔
