العدد 1,000؛ يساوي عشرة مئات. يُستخدم لوصف كمية كبيرة أو رقم محدد.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يستخدم للعد والتقدير ('a thousand people', 'thousands of stars'). 'Thousands' شائع للكميات الكبيرة غير الدقيقة. يُستخدم المفرد مع 'one thousand' والجمع مع 'thousands of'. لا يُقال 'a thousands' بل 'a thousand'.
