Hacer una declaración formal sobre lo que sabes, especialmente en un tribunal. También puede significar mostrar o demostrar que algo existe o es verdad.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa sobre todo en contextos legales: 'testify in court' o 'testify before Congress'. En un registro formal, también puede significar 'servir como prueba de', como en 'The results testify to her hard work'. No lo confundas con 'say', que es mucho más general y menos formal.
