ワシやタカなどの猛禽類が獲物を捕まえたり仕留めたりする時に使う、鋭く曲がった爪のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に猛禽類の爪を指し、他の動物や鳥にはあまり使いません。「sharp talons」は「鋭いかぎ爪」と訳します。
