Definition

縫合糸は、傷や手術の切り口を閉じるために医師が使う糸やその縫い目を指します。また、解剖学では骨同士の動かない結合部も意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

医療用語として使われることが多いですが、日常会話では「ステッチ」や「縫い目」とも言います。「Dissolvable sutures」は自然に溶ける糸を意味します。
