যখন কিছু অপ্রত্যাশিত বা অবাঞ্ছিত হয়, তখন অনুভব করা এক ধরনের বিস্ময় বা আশ্চর্য। আগাত সুখকর, দুঃখজনক বা নিরপেক্ষ হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'surprised' সাধারণত 'by', 'at' বা 'that' দিয়ে ব্যবহৃত হয়: 'surprised by the news', 'surprised at the price', 'surprised that he came' ইত্যাদি। 'surprised' অনুভূতির জন্য, আর 'surprising' ঘটনার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। প্রায়ই 'pleasantly' বা 'really' সহ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
