'Summary' आमतौर पर औपचारिक, अकादमिक और व्यावसायिक संदर्भों में प्रयुक्त होता है। सामान्य संयोजन हैं: 'write a summary', 'brief summary', 'executive summary'। इसे 'conclusion' (अंतिम निष्कर्ष) या 'paraphrase' (पुनर्लेखन) से न मिलाएँ।
