काफी हद तक या महत्वपूर्ण तरीके से; कभी–कभी 'मूल रूप से' या 'मुख्य रूप से' भी होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

मुख्यतः औपचारिक या शैक्षिक संदर्भ में उपयोग होता है। 'increase', 'reduce', 'change', 'differ' जैसे क्रियाओं के बाद आम है। 'Substantially' का अर्थ 'considerably' से अधिक बलशाली है। अनौपचारिक बातचीत में कम प्रयोग होता है।
