Definition

法令とは、政府や議会などが正式に制定した書面による法律のことです。人々が従うべき決まりです。

「法令」は法律や公的な文書で使う非常にフォーマルな言葉です。「規則」や「ルール」とは違い、国家などが作成した文書上の法律を指します。「法定時効」（statute of limitations）などの表現で使われます。
