액체를 작은 방울로 분사하여 넓은 곳에 뿌리는 것. 보통 용기에서 분사하며 청소, 식물에 물주기, 화학제품 사용 시 쓰인다.

'sprayed'는 'spray'의 과거형. 주로 물, 페인트, 향수 등 액체에 사용. 'sprayed with', 'sprayed on'처럼 쓰임. 고체에는 사용하지 않음.
