Definition

'Spirits' বলতে কারো মানসিক অবস্থা, শক্তিশালী মদ্য, বা কখনো কখনো অতিপ্রাকৃত সত্তাকে বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত বহুবচনে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'in good spirits', 'lift someone's spirits' ইত্যাদি পরিস্থিতিতে মনোভাব বোঝায়। মদের ক্ষেত্রে প্রায়ই দোকান বা লেবেলিংয়ে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ভূত অর্থটি গল্প বা লোককথায় বেশি দেখা যায়।
