情報や物の出所となる場所、人、書類、物など。何かの元になる原因や始まりの意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

学術、報道、日常会話でよく使います。'reliable sources'（信頼できる情報源）、'primary sources'（一次資料）、'energy sources'（エネルギー源）、'anonymous sources'（匿名の情報源）などの表現が多い。'source'と'resource'は意味が異なるので注意。
