自分の目で何かや誰かを見ること。また、理解したり、誰かに会う意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「see」は実際に見るだけでなく、理解する（'I see what you mean'で「なるほど」）や会う（'I'll see you tomorrow'）意味でも使われます。

Examples

I see a bird in the tree.

木の上に鳥が**見えます**。

Can you see the stars at night?

夜に星が**見えますか**？

I will see you tomorrow at school.
