يصف شخصًا أو صوتًا يُطلق صرخة عالية أو حادة أو شديدة جدًا. يمكن أن يدل على الخوف أو الألم أو الغضب أو الحماس أو أي شعور قوي آخر.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يُستخدم غالبًا بوصفه present participle أو adjective مثل: 'a screaming child' و'people were screaming'. وهو يدل على صوت أقوى وأكثر انفعالًا من 'shouting' أو 'yelling'. وقد يأتي أيضًا مجازًا في عبارات غير رسمية مثل 'screaming with laughter' أو 'screaming for attention'.
