Definition

物や人が横一列に並んでいる状態を指します。文章や座席の横の並びも含まれます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

複数形の『列』はよく使われ、『椅子の列』『前から三列目』などで使います。'line' より具体的な並びに使われます。イギリス英語の 'row'（口論）とは発音も意味も異なります。

Examples

All the vegetables are planted in neat rows.
