Definition

يصدر صوتاً عميقاً وعالياً مثل صوت الأسد أو المحرك. يُستخدم أيضاً لوصف أصوات عالية من الناس أو الحشود.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تُستخدم عادة مع الحيوانات (خاصة الأسد)، والآلات، والحشود. تدل على صوت قوي وعميق أكثر من 'shouts'. عبارات شائعة: 'the lion roars', 'the engine roars', 'the crowd roars with applause'.
