Definition

道（どう）は、車や人、動物が通行するために作られた広い舗装された通路です。普通は場所と場所をつなぎます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「道」は幅広い意味のある言葉です。市街地の指定された道路は「ストリート（通り）」、高速道路は「高速道路」または「ハイウェイ」と言います。よく使う表現：main road（主要道路）、country road（田舎道）、cross the road（道を渡る）。未整備の道には通常使いません。
