'rise' का तीसरा व्यक्ति एकवचन रूप; ऊपर की ओर बढ़ना, स्तर या मात्रा में वृद्धि, या ऊँचा होना। यह शारीरिक गति, संख्याएँ या अमूर्त चीजें जैसे सूरज या कीमतों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।

'Rises' तीसरे व्यक्ति एकवचन (he/she/it) के लिए वर्तमान काल है। अक्सर 'the sun rises', 'price rises', 'temperature rises' जैसे वाक्य में आता है। 'Raises' (कुछ उठाना/बढ़ाना) से न मिलाएँ।
